Position Title: Intern         
Duty Station: IOM Beijing Office
Duration: 6 months
Estimated Start Date: Immediate
Closing Date: 01 Jun 2022
 
IOM Introduction :
Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
 
Learning Objecives:
Working under the overall direction of the Chief of Mission, the intern will assist with the operational activities of the Mission. Tasks will include:
 
- Work under supervision of the National Program Officer on application and implementation of South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund (SSCAF). This may include responsibilities related to proposal development, coordination, communication and data collection.
- Provide administrative support including translation and interpretation, document collection and uploading;
- Support coordination and communication with stakeholders, preparing reports and communication materials;
- Coordinate with other IOM Field Missions, as necessary, to facilitate SSCAF application and implemention; and
- Undretake all other tasks as may be assigned.
 
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants to IOM internships must, at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements:
a) Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or
b) Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
c) Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) or (b) above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.

Excellent Chinese and English
